Southern Silver Exploration Corp. reported today that the company has now closed the previously reported $600,000 non-brokered private placement (April 3 rd , 2006) of 600,000 common shares at a price of $1.00. All the common shares issued pursuant to this unit offering, including share purchase warrants exercisable at $1.00 for two years, carry a legend restricting the shares from trading for a period of four months to August 8 th , 2006.
