Southern Silver Exploration Corp. reports that at the company’s annual general meeting, the following individuals were elected to the Board of Directors to join incumbent directors Lawrence Page, Q.C., Nazlin Rahemtulla, D. Roger Scammell and Scott Hean:
Terrence Eyton Upon graduating from Lakehead University in Business Administration, Mr. Eyton joined Clarkson Gordon Co. in Toronto to article as a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Eyton obtained his CA designation in 1971 and opened a public accounting practice in 1972 that merged in 1978 to become Topping, Eyton and Partners where he continues to practice as a partner in the firm. Mr. Eyton also served as an elected council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of B.C. for an extensive period. This service also included an appointment as Chairman of the Board School of Chartered Accountancy. Mr. Eyton was awarded a Fellowship of the Institute in 1983. Mr. Eyton serves as director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Bravo Venture Group Inc., Fortune River Resource Corp., Sabina Gold & Silver Corp. where his public accountant background can provide the company guidance in compliance and reporting issues.
Dale Janowsky Mr. Janowsky recently retired after 44 years in the practice of corporate & commercial law. He has extensive experience in advising all levels of management and boards of directors, including: Achilles Resources Inc, Avondale Resources Inc, Consolidated Powergem Resources Corp, Thios Resources Inc, Ducks Unlimited Canada, Lawyers Business & Property Network, Canada Post Corporation, University College of the Cariboo. As a director for several years with Eaglecrest Explorations Ltd. Dale has acquired extensive knowledge on drilling procedures, funding, on-site mills and related issues. He has also been involved in real estate development companies and obtaining financing for public resource companies. In May 2009 he was elected as a director of Grand Portage Resources Ltd.
The company wishes to acknowledge and thank Donald Head for his services as a former director and Robert Swenarchuk for his role as a former director and Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of the company. The Company has created an Advisory Board and appointed Mssrs. Head and Swenarchuk as initial Advisors.. Subsequent to the annual general meeting the Board of Directors appointed officers for the ensuing year as follows: Lawrence Page, President; Mahesh Liyanage, CFO; Scott Hean, Vice President, Administration; and Arie Page, Secretary of the company.
